Illinois residents who are interested in ordering a flag flown over the U.S., Capitol, may request one from Senator Burris. To order a flag, please follow the easy steps outlined below:

1.   Select the desired size and type of flag.

2.   Print and fill out the Flag Request form (PDF see link below) in its entirety including any particular information required for the certificate of authenticity. If you would like the flag to be flown in honor of a person or organization, on a specific future date or for a special occasion, please include that information so it can be noted on the certificate.

3.   Attach your check in the appropriate amount made payable to: The Keeper of the Stationery

4.   Mail both the form and check to:

Flag requests must be received at least one month in advance. Please be aware that all mail, including overnight deliveries, can take up to several weeks to reach the Senate as a result of new security procedures. There has also been an increase in the demand for flags. Therefore, please allow a minimum of eight to ten weeks to receive your flag.* Requests for flags not flown over the United States Capitol should deduct the $4.05 flying fee from the total amount.
